Commander Zodiac does all our Dolphin Watch excursions on an  18’ hard bottom inflatable Zodiac raft. We take a maximum of six passengers, per boat, to ensure a more personalized excursion . 

The main focus of the trip is to teach you about the dolphins and to try to get you up close and personal views of the dolphins and other wildlife that inhabit the Lowcountry.

The 1 HOUR excursion leaves from South Beach Marina and enters the Calibogue Sound where your captain will help you to search for dolphin and other wildlife up and down the inland shores and marshes of Hilton Head Island. 

The 1 ½ HOUR excursion continues on to explore the salt water marshes and tidal  estuaries where more wildlife including birdlife and dolphin behavior unique to Hilton Head Island awaits.

The 2 HOUR excursion continues where the 1 hour dolphin watch ends and includes a special trip to the Daufuskie Island sandbar. Your captains will beach the Zodiac for 30- 40 minutes where you can get off the boat and explore the unique ecosystem of the sandbar, beach coming for shells, driftwood and sand dollars.
